In detail

A kitchen respray changes the whole room without the upheaval, cost or waste of ripping out cabinets that are otherwise sound.

Bourne Decorators run their own dedicated spraying setup alongside the core decorating trade, doors and drawer fronts are sprayed off site or on site depending on the job, giving a smooth, factory style finish in a colour of your choice.

  • Jim and Richie were a real pleasure to deal with. Totally professional and efficient, but really friendly. It was a very stressful time but they made it easy to get through. They did a brilliant job in redecorating the interior of a retirement property. Spraying the kitchen cupboards made it look as though a brand new kitchen had been fitted at a fraction of the cost. The whole house has been transformed. Would highly recommend them.

  • Jim and Richie have just completed painting our kitchen units and wood panelling and it looks like we have a new kitchen! I can't recommend them enough, it was a big and fiddly job in our old cottage but they tackled every step with great knowledge and professionalism. Friendly, trustworthy and reliable, I can't recommend them enough.

  • What truly smashing chaps Jim and Richie are. When receiving our bath panel and cupboard doors that they had sprayed for us we were amazed with the flawless finish and quality of the workmanship that had gone into them. When the decorating of our house needed to be done in a tight timeframe, they were there in a flash to turn it into our home. We are always pleased with their friendly and efficient service. Thanks guys and keep up the good work. Sam

Frequently asked questions

Kitchen Resprays questions

How much does a kitchen respray cost?

A kitchen respray is priced after a free quote, based on the number of doors, drawers and the finish chosen. As a guide, respraying is generally considerably cheaper than replacing a kitchen outright, though exact cost depends on your kitchen.

How long does a kitchen respray take?

A typical kitchen respray takes two to four days from masking through to final refit, depending on the number of units and the finish.

Is my kitchen usable during the respray?

Worktops and appliances are masked and protected throughout, and we plan the job to keep disruption as low as possible, though the kitchen is not fully usable while doors and drawers are away being sprayed.

Do doors get sprayed on site or taken away?

It depends on the job. Doors and drawer fronts may be sprayed off site in a controlled setting or on site depending on the kitchen and the finish required.

What kind of paint is used for kitchen resprays?

We use specialist cabinet paint designed to cope with daily kitchen use, sprayed in controlled coats for an even, hard wearing finish.

Can any kitchen be resprayed?

Most solid wood, MDF and previously painted kitchens can be resprayed. We assess the units during the quote to confirm they're suitable.

Can I choose any colour for my kitchen respray?

Yes, colour is discussed as part of the free consultation, so the new kitchen suits the room, not just a sample chart.

Do you replace worktops and handles as well?

The core service is respraying the existing units, but we're happy to talk through handle changes or other small upgrades alongside the respray.

How durable is a sprayed kitchen finish?

A properly sprayed and cured finish is hard wearing and designed to cope with everyday kitchen use, though like any painted surface it should be treated with reasonable care.

Do you offer kitchen resprays outside your usual coverage area?

Yes, kitchen resprays are available further afield, including Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover, since the spraying setup travels well for a single focused job.

How do I get a quote for a kitchen respray?

Get in touch through the quote form, by phone on 07957 862228, or by email, and we'll arrange a free consultation to look at your kitchen and discuss finishes.
